Rosemary A. Painter has produced a cookbook containing recipes for her Alaskan wild berry sauces which she sold as "Mrs. Painter's" sauces at the Tanana Valley Farmer's Market in Fairbanks, Alaska. This book provides detailed processing methods - industry secrets - an idea that was spurred by a conversation with staff from "Edible Alaska" who visited the Tanana Valley's Farmer's Market in 2017. Mrs. Painter embraces cooking with real, whole food, and encourages families to take control of their food supply and the content of their food. Be healthy, safe and sustainable.
About the Author
Mrs. Painter is a former University of Alaska Student, and a retired University of Alaska Fairbanks, employee. Rosemary enjoyed many years of gardening before turning to the wilds of Alaska for a source of abundant harvest in making and preserving foods for her family, and finally, preparing foods to be served on the tables of others. Rosemary and Kerry Painter have recently relocated from Fairbanks, Alaska, to Henderson, Nevada. Many trips will be made to Alaska to visit good friends and family.
