An omelet is a culinary preparation made from whole eggs that have been beaten and cooked in a pan (saut ed). It is NOT a simple omelet folded or rolled on itself, but rather a preparation with a very distinct shape and consistency (different between the outside and the heart of the food).
The original omelet recipe is French, as the name implies.
The nutritional intake of the omelet varies depending on the formulation; in practice, the omelet can be made up of: eggs, animal ingredients, vegetables, and fats from seasoning. Digestibility varies greatly from one preparation to the next, though (on average), this cooking method is regarded as one of the best.
