2024 Lititz Kid-Lit Festival

2024 Lititz Kid-Lit Festival

Saturday, March 9 at Linden Hall

Our Lititz Kid-Lit Festival returns!

On Saturday, March 9, we are celebrating children’s literature for everyone from our youngest book lovers to teen readers with workshops with authors and illustrators, book signings, story times, and more! Every family, teacher, and librarian, as well as every other book lover, is welcome to join us at Linden Hall for this special daylong event.

2024 Keynote Speaker- Two-Time Printz Award Winner, A.S. King

Amy Sarig King writes short fiction, middle grade and young adult fiction. She is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret A. Edwards Award for her "significant and lasting contribution to young adult literature." And the only author to have been awarded the Michael L. Printz medal twice, most recently in January 2024 for editing The Collectors.

King is the author of numerous young adult books that have earned her recognition as "one of the best YA writers working today" by The New York Times Book Review. Her work is known for bridging the gap between young adult and adult readers. She also writes acclaimed middle grade novels under her full name, Amy Sarig King. Her short fiction for adults has been widely published and nominated for Best New American Voices.

An experienced teacher and presenter, King spends many months of the year traveling the U.S. for school visits, conferences, workshops, and literary festivals. King devotes much of her time and platform to mental health advocacy. In her presentations, she often centers topics such as life skills, emotions, bullying, self-esteem, safe relationships, and trauma.

Amy currently resides in Lititz with her awesome teen child and her writing assistant cat.
